Simona Revelli - psychoanalyst based in London SW2 - Therapeutic, educational and support services

I am a practicing existential analyst/psychoanalyst. In private practice and within the public, voluntary and private sectors, I have had extensive experience of setting up, developing and delivering a range of therapeutic, educational and supportive services to enhance awareness, and personal and professional development. Over the years, I have made a substantial and diverse contribution to the profession, including the organisation of national and international conferences.

Qualifications and Membership

I have a Masters degree in counselling and psychotherapy and further substantial training in existential analysis and psychoanalysis. I am a full member of the Society for Existential Analysis (1996) and the Guild of Psychotherapists (2009). For several years I was a member of the Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis and since 2003 I have been a Clinical Affiliate member of the Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research (CFAR, 2003). All these organisations are members of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), one of the professional bodies with which I am registered. In 2007 I became a full member of The College of Psychoanalysts–UK. Since 2008 I have been a member of the Board of Governors of both The College and The Academy of Psychoanalysis, of which I am also a member.

Academic Work

I have considerable experience of organising and delivering training within the private, voluntary and public sectors. In 2001 I was appointed a Visiting Faculty member of an established London training institution, where I have taught and supervised trainees on courses at all levels. During the same year I was approved by a London university as an MA dissertations reader.

Private Practice

For many years I have held a busy private practice in south London, where I undertake therapeutic work and other related activities (e.g. clinical supervision). Referrals are directly from members of the public, through voluntary or statutory agencies, health professionals, training institutions and professional organisations.
